We rethink packaging
Unlike a traditional supermarket supply chain, we source ingredients directly from the producer. This shorter supply chain means we avoid packaging and repackaging along the way. We also use innovative technology to minimise the amount of packaging in each order, whilst ensuring your ingredients stay fresh all the way to your doorstep.
Our latest packaging innovations
Our sustainability teams around the world are constantly developing innovative ways to reduce and optimise our packaging. Every small improvement counts and here are some of our most impactful initiatives we have worked on so far:
- We've switched to fully recyclable and paper sachets for dry ingredients like pasta and grains.
- We've developed an algorithm that determines the optimal amount of packaging for each unique order, helping us avoid unnecessary packaging.
- We've introduced more recyclable packaging sauce sachets.

There are occasions where we have to use plastic in our packaging to ensure that food arrives safely to your door. We use vacuum packs to reduce food waste, as they keep your meat products safe and fresh for longer. Although they use less plastic than traditional meat packaging, our vacuum packs are not recyclable, so please discard them in the general waste bin.
